Man Who Crashed Into Las Vegas Stratosphere Casino Wanted To Jump

Ryan Brown, a 40 year old man, crashed a silver Ford pickup truck through the front doors of the Las Vegas Stratosphere Casino on Wednesday night, September 10. Police said he planned to jump from the 1,149 foot tower in the hopes the incident would make news. Brown was arrested on counts of possession of cocaine, reckless driving, and driving under the influence of drugs. At 8pm Brown arrived at the Stratosphere's casino valet driving on to the curb before arguing with a pedestrian. Brown then accelerated and crashed into the glass entry doors of the Stratosphere. The truck stopped just inside the front entry of the casino. Brown then got out of the truck and fought with both security and guests. He was taken into custody by the casino security. He was then taken to the Clark County Detention Center, where he was combative with correction officers and had to be controlled with a face mask. Officers found 1.3 grams of crack cocaine and a glass smoking pipe with residue in the truck.

It is extremely lucky that no one was injured in this accidence. In a busy Las Vegas casino, like the Stratosphere, numerous casino guests, employees and pedestrians could have been injured by Brown's actions.
